How to Create a Baby Mini Album

by Kymona Tracey

Hello everyone!! Kymona here to show you how to create a baby mini album using Altenew Reflection Collection Kit.

Let's take a look at this baby mini album:

Altenew Supplies

My younger sister is about to have her first baby very soon and I'm over the top excited to be an Auntie again.  So I decided to create a mini album for her to document the baby's first 6 months of life.

She will learn so much from this experience and documenting it will be fun for her. Plus, she's a photographer on the side so the baby will have a lot of pictures, LOL!!

Here's how to create this mini album:

Decide on which scrapbook paper you want to use in the book.  For the first and the back cover,  I went with the blank flower paper so that I could color the images the color that I want.

Using Altenew Artist Markers allow for shadowing within each flower.

Once the coloring is done, adhere the finish piece to the 6 x 6 chipboard using Altenew Glue Tape.

Do this for the back cover as well.

Then die cut the word “baby” out of black card stock using the Bold Alphabet Die Set.  Place it on the front cover of the album.

Now its time to work on the inside of the mini album.  This is the easy part!!  For this book, the left side is where the photo will go and the right side is where the journaling will go.

So, pattern paper on the left and plain white cardstock on the right!

Take a look inside:

To keep these pages pretty clean and simple, stamp one sentiment and keep the embellishments to a minimum.  That way the person receiving the book and add their personal touches to each page.

Three stamp sets were used: Heartfelt Sentiments, Baby Balloon and Floral Garden. The embellishments are from the Reflections Scrapbook Collection.

The last thing to do is punch holes and add binder rings.  Using binder rings allow the mini book to expand if the recipient would like to add more pages.

Let's take another look:

Creating this mini album was easy and fun.  So what do you think?  Would you create a clean and simple baby mini album using the element from the Scrapbook Kit and different stamp sets? I would love to hear from you!

What a wonderful gift for a new Mommy! By making the pages so simple (yet beautiful) it allows the new parents to easily memorialize their new bundle of joy’s first six months! I think it is an absolutely amazing gift! TFS!

Hey Queen Mary!! Thank you so much and yes this album is perfect for vacation. A great way to tell your story. The bigger the ring, the more pages you can add.
