Hello everyone!! Kymona here to show you how to create your own background paper using Altenew Building Blocks Stamp Set.
Let's take a look at this background paper:
Its always fun to use stamp sets in different ways. As a scrapbooker, we are faced with stretching our stamps so that we could add them to our layouts.
The Building Blocks stamp set is a perfect example of this. This set is so versatile, creating a pattern is super easy.
Last Saturday, my Aunt, daughter, nieces, nephews and I went to the Arthur Ashes Kids Day 2017. We had a blast. We waited for the shuttle bus to carry us over to the stadium but it took to long to come so we decided to walk the mile and a half to the stadium. That was a great choice. They had the opportunity to see different old monuments within the park.
Here's how to create this layout:
Using different stamps from the Building Block stamp set, create a pretty pattern on a piece of white 8 x 8 scrapbook page in black ink.
Cover the entire page so that the patten looks continuous.
Then you want to add a piece of vellum over the pattern to tone it down a bit.
Note: Some patterns might not go well with the photo you chose so adding vellum helps to break up the pattern and the photo.
Round the corner of the base layout page, the vellum and the photo!
Decide where you want your photo to go before adding embellishments.
Once that's done, add your stickers around the photos.
Pick up the photo and add yellow and blue splatters on the vellum to add more color.
Add a tab to the right of the photo and adhere the photo down.
Add a sticker to the top of the photo, adhere the vellum down under the photo and the layout is complete.
Let's take another look:
Creating the background on this layout was easy and fun. So what do you think? Would you create a clean and simple layout using a stamp set to create your own patten paper? I would love to hear from you!
Thanks for stopping by!!
