Happy 2018 Altenew Fans!

Terhi here to share love and scrapbook inspiration. I’m extremely thrilled about the new year, fresh start and tons of new adventures coming up. I wish your calendars are full crafty events to go, and all other fun things.

This first layout for the New Year is about love, honoring my sweet husband who stands by side from year to year. As any marriage, ours too is full of ups and downs, happy moments and challenges, so I created splashy background for a tender purple layout. Just like life is, right?IMG_4649First, I used the Splatter stencil together with pink texture paste, and then I randomly flicked mists all over the area I planned to adhere the photograph. Altenew stencils are easy and quick way to add texture and dimension for any projects you’re about make, grab your palette knife and start stenciling!

IMG_4650On top of the paste is couple of zig-zag cut files which has been laying on my craft table for weeks. I simply glued them down to a light purple paper and then colored with Artists Markers Set B lilacs. Having only white on top of the light purple paper would have been too lame for my eye and lately I have fell into coloring! I just don’t feel very talented what comes to coloring, but I’m taking small baby steps to learn and maybe one day I actually manage to color one stamped image!IMG_4652So maybe that’s my New Year’s resolution, learning more about coloring. Have you made any resolutions? If so, any craft related? I’d love to hear!

Have great start for the Year of 2018!

Thru, learning to colour images better is definitely one of my crafty resolutions. When I see other designers painting beautiful Altenew
Flowers so beautifully I am inspired but I feel I have a long way to go. Good luck in 2018 and God bless.
