Welcome to my first blog post of the year. The holidays have flown by so fast and I'm not really ready to see my boys go back to school. After a week of festivities and family visits we haven't really had the time to relax and enjoy. So I thought I'd create a layout about my little family. The boys we playing in my scrap room and I was cutting and pasting. I love watching them interact while I'm crafting. They forget I'm there and I get to hear the funniest conversations.
For this layout I picked out a patterned paper from the Our Family collection that I found challenging to use. I love the tree but I didn't really know what to do with it and this is what I came up with.
First I cut out some circles using the Circle Dies from the Halftone Circle set. Then I picked different chipboard elements from both Altenew Scrapbook collections and played around with the different elements. I wanted to keep them below the upper part of the tree and centre the photo over the stem.
To link the different elements I used some twine and made the four strings come together in one point.
You can see how the whole layout came together in the video below or in HD on YouTube: (For the title I used the More than words stamp set not the Just because as mentioned in the video, sorry for the mix up)
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. See you next week with more inspiration.
