Hello, Altenew fans!
I hope you are enjoying the Build-A-Flower Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Jennifer McGuire’s Blog, then you are right on track. You can also start the blog over on the Altenew Card blog if you have missed a couple of hops. The full list can be found at the bottom of this post.
I created two projects for this hop. You can see one here and the other is on my personal blog. I decided to create cards for this hop and I really want to improve my card making skills.
For this card, I used the Build-A-Flower: Sakura set. For the inks’ colors, I opted to use the Pocket Full of Sunshine Ink set for the flowers and for the leaves I went with Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen.
I created masks for both flowers sizes and stamped the flowers first using the different shades of yellow. Then I added the leaves, the sentiments, and three enamel dots to create flow. To make the card pop a little more I mounted the white cardstock onto some dark grey textured cardstock. The yellow colors stand out a lot more.

Your yellow color selections are so cheerful…this is such a happy card. tfs
Beautiful card & color choice!
Beautiful!! The yellow is so cheery. I like how you didn’t use all the layers on some but you did on others. It brings depth and interest.
Absolutely stunning cards. The flowers look so real!
Wow, love the bright and sunny yellow, awesome for spring and the stamped flowers with various layers really adds interest without being distracting.
I really like how you did the different depths of shadow on the different flowers. It adds a lot of interest that I wasn’t expecting. Thanks so much for sharing a great idea with us!
Love the beautiful cheerful yellows of the flowers!

Hi …good morning …i really really love how you blend the colors ..i really love how you create cards.
Sorry if i already write a comment because here in my country its already march 2
So lovely and since it’s snowing, it is the promise of spring.
Oh my gosh, you have made me one very happy girl! Why, you ask? I’m going to tell you. You made a card with my favorite color in the whole wide world and I love, love, love it! I love the flowers too. They are so pretty! They remind me of the flowers I could have in my yard if those mutant ninja squirrels didn’t destroy them. However, when I stamp, they can’t come anywhere near my stamps and for that I am so glad and I can stamp to my hearts consent.
Thank you for showing us your colorful card (I love you coloring!) and for giving us the chance to win something. I love this hop!
I have really enjoyed these stamp and die flower sets! Everyone’s cards are gorgeous–I am just discovering these and want to get a couple–thanks for showcasing these!
