Welcome to a new day of inspiration here on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog. In today's post, I want to show you how I scraplift myself.
What is scraplifting? Well, it is when you draw inspiration from a previously made layout. You can copy the design and change papers and embellishments or you can take the layout as a starting pointing and create a totally different page.
I scraplifted the following layout which I made during an FB live session on the Altenew Facebook Page. My starting point was a circle which I added stamped images and die cuts to. I used the Parrot Paradise Stamp and Die Set. I added some hearts from the Halftone Hearts Die Set. They were perfect embellishments.
You can watch the video on Facebook or click below (it is approximately an hour long).

Like the original layout, I started with a geometrical shape but decided to step away from the circle shape and went with a triangle.
Instead of making embellishments from stamps and dies, I used a patterned paper from the Our Family Collection and did a little fussy cutting. I also added some triangle stickers from the Our Family Sticker Sheet. The layout is very simple and I kept it that way since the flowers are so large and colorful. Keeping it simple leaves the title and photo in the spotlight.
For the title, I went with the Everything About You Stamp Set and used parts of the smaller stamps to stamp the “my imperfections” part by masking off the sentiments before inking them up. This is a great technique to get more out of your stamps.
Do you scraplift (copy) any of your projects? I would love to know.
Thank you for joining us and happy scrapping.
