Hello and good morning!
Reiko here and today I have a card and an artist trading card to share. These were created using the Winter Rose Stamp Set.
Last Saturday, I had to teach a stamp class in Tokyo. I got so much inspiration from the past Altenew DT works while I was making my class samples.
One of my favorite techniques, which I shared with the class, was this monochromatic color combination.
It is truly simple but beautiful. Here are the two inks that I used for the card above.
Crisp Dye Ink: Pinkalicious, Pink Diamond
For this class, I chose the Winter Rose Stamp Set because this set was the perfect size not only for making cards but also for artist trading cards.
In the afternoon, we had a crop party after the class. Actually, we didn’t ‘CROP’ or talk that much. People stamped and stamped… so quietly! They were so into it!
I got a lot of inspiration from their artworks and I want to share an artist trading card inspired by one of the attendees – Tokoyo Tochihara. I don’t use orange and brown often but this time I totally fell in love with this color combination. It is always good to see what other people make!
Crisp Dye Ink: Buttercream, Caramel Toffee, Paper Bag, Peach Perfect, Forest Glades, Frayed Leaf
ATCs are quite popular here in Japan, and scrapbookers and cardmakers love to trade their ATCs at a crop party or at trade shows.
Hope you enjoy using the Winter Rose Stamp Set before spring comes!

Sweet card!
I love the monochromatic look! The Winter Rose Stamp Set is perfect for that! Altenew always has great things.
I love the monochromatic look as well, but don’t often think of doing it in pink. It’s really beautiful, Reiko! That ATC inspired by your student Tokoyo is just lovely as well. You must have been a very inspirational teacher – just like you are for many of us here on the Altenew blogs. Beautiful work!
