Festive Layout

Hello, Altenew fans!

Enza here, and today I am bringing you a festive layout created with a combination of two stamp sets and coordinating dies: Party Time! and Layered Cupcake.

I wanted to give the idea of a party setting: fun and colorful.

How to:

I started by stamping lots of streamers on a smooth white 12×12 cardstock. I used several Altenew Crisp Dye Inks:

• pink: Pinkalicious, Puffy Heart
• blue: Tide Blue, Caribbean Sky
• green: Just Green, Hunter Green
• red: Ruby Red, Vineyard Berry
• yellow: Citrus Burst, Mango Smoothie
• purple: Lavender Fields, Midnight Violet.

The vertical streamers were stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and cut with the coordinating die. I like the different texture they bring to the background.

Next, I applied some Dotted Washi Tape directly onto the paper where I wanted to place my photo. After layering a few pieces of vellum and patterned paper, I adhered the photo on top and foam mounted it to give it dimension. A simple kraft tag from my stash added extra interest to this part of the layout.

I stamped two cupcakes with the Layered Cupcake Stamp Set, trying to match the colors of the streamers. I arranged them in the bottom left corner of the page where I also adhered some wood grain washi tape from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection, and the dotted one I had used underneath the photo. Here, I also added a cute pink camera from the same scrapbook collection and a wooden button from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.

For the title, I decided to create an ombre look by blending Rose Quartz and Pinkalicious on white cardstock; I then used the Bold Alphabet Die Set to cut it out. Arranging the title in between the photo and the bottom cluster gave continuity and helped give the layout a finished look.

The sentiments from the Layered Cupcake Stamp Set were perfect for this layout. I heat-embossed them on black cardstock with Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.

Enamel dots in coordinating colors and wood veneer stars from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection gave the final touch.
