Hi, ladies! Welcome to our May Guest Designer post!
This time we are introducing the lovely and talented Irit Landgraf here on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog. She shares two beautiful scrapbook layouts today, but first, let's learn more about her!
Get to know Irit!
Hi! I’m Irit, mother of two lovely girls and wife of one supportive husband. We live in the beautiful Austrian countryside. I started scrapbooking in 2011 and soon discovered mixed media and fell in love instantly. Stamps and stencils are some of my favorite tools and I enjoy coming up with creative ways of using them. I love sharing my projects and inspiring others on my YouTube channel, as well as teaching mixed media and online scrapbooking classes. You can find more of my creations on my Blog, Instagram, and YouTube channel.
Irit’s Layouts
Today I'm sharing two 12×12 scrapbook layouts. I'm really excited to show you how to use stamps and stencils on your pages. I love using stencils to create an interesting background. In the ‘I love this smile' layout I used two stencils: Altenew Halftone and Altenew Mega Rose.
I used pink ink for the Mega Rose Stencil and gold mist for the Halftone Stencil. I also misted all around the edges because I can never have too much gold on my pages! Did you know you can also stamp using ink sprays? Look how beautiful that gold flower turned out. I just sprayed my stamp lightly and stamped it as usual. Once my background and custom made stamped flowers were done, everything else came together in no time!

My second layout has a different color scheme and it was just as easy and fun to create. I started again with a stencil, this time using Halftone with inks from the Northern Lights 6 Mini Cube Set. My page is simply embellished with stamped flowers that I fussy cut.
I stamped mine in black for a simple and graphic look, but you can use colored inks or color in your images – there are so many options! I also added some layered flowers from the Bold Blossom Stamp Set, again, using the Northern Lights inks.
I then added my photo, title, and a few more embellishments. I had to add some splatters, of course, and I used Antique Silver Metallic Ink Spray for a hint of shine and sparkle, but Jet Black would also be a great choice here if you prefer a matte finish.

I hope you like my layouts and get inspired to use your stencils, inks, and ink sprays on scrapbook layouts as well.

I have to watch your video on YouTube! I never tried using ink spray on a stamp. What a lovely background! Also, what a lovely crisp layout for the black and white photos! Thank you.
