Hi, ladies! Welcome to our second May Guest Designer post!
This time we are introducing the Anna Komenda here on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog. I am pretty sure lots of you know her from our blog hops. She has a beautiful and unique style. As always, she did an amazing job on this blog. But first, let’s learn more about her!
Get to know Anna!
My name is Anna and I am scrap addict. I started scrapbooking in 2009 as a way of documenting my new adventure – becoming a mom. It quickly grew into a bigger hobby. I discovered my passion for mixed media and painting; incorporating them into layouts and albums. Scrapbooking became a very important part of my life. I started sharing my knowledge by teaching live classes and creating my own YouTube channel. I met friends from all around the world and I no longer “get bored” in my life.
Anna’s First Scrapbook Layout
Hello, everyone. It's Anna here and I am over the moon excited to be a Guest Designer for Altenew. I have been in love with Altenew products for a long time and it's a great pleasure and honor to be able to present myself here. I created two projects for this post using both stamps and dies.
Let's start with this layout filled with flowers made with the “Rose Flurries 3D Die“.
I won't lie to you – it took me a while to cut and glue down all those flowers but it was all worth it. I picked matching cardstock sheets, set my audiobook, and started cutting.
I started my page with a white cardstock with a heart-shaped hole inside. I stamped small dots using various ink colors to create a fun background. Mini ink cubes are just perfect for this purpose.
Filling the heart shape with all the flowers was so fun and rewarding. I love how it turned out and I can already see other stamps and dies that can match this idea of composition.
I finished my page by adding a title created from letters cut out with a die set combined with a small phrase created with a stamp. I used the “Fine Alphabet Die” and “Hope Stamp Set”.
I also have a process video for you. I hope you will enjoy watching it.
Anna’s Second Scrapbook Layout
My second project is another layout. This is the form I like the most in scrapbooking. I just love pretty pictures meeting pretty embellishments. I decided to make a festive page with pictures from my daughter's birthday party.
I started with a 12x12 watercolor paper sheet and painted it using Altenew’s Frosty Pink Ink Spray. I also added a little bit of sparkle by applying glitter paint over it.
Bigger die cut-outs like “Doodled Dots Cover Die” can work really well as one–time stencils. This is what I did on my page; I just cut out the doodled dots and applied texture paste through it.
Using the “Hope Stamp Set”, I created five pretty florals with leaves. I used them as a part of the composition. Stamps can be a great tool to make your own embellishments.
“Party Time! Die Set” is really a perfect tool to make your own sequins. It's very convenient if you don't have real sequins in matching colors.
I hope you are a fan of pink and glitter as much as me and my daughter. If you want to see how this page was done, you can watch the video that I recorded for you.
I want to thank Altenew for inviting me here. I had tons of fun making these projects.
We love Anna’s layouts so much! Thanks for sharing these stunning ways to use the Rose Flurries 3D Dies and other Altenew stamp sets. We got so many new ideas from here!
Thank you so much, Anna, for being an outstanding May Guest Designer and for sharing your creativity with us!
