Hello, crafty friends!
Enza here, and today I am sharing a new colorful layout featuring the Totally Tropical and Parrot Paradise stamp sets.
The weather is getting warmer in this part of the world, the sun is out, and I've started dreaming of vacation time and days at the beach. I wanted my page to capture all the summer vibes, with tropical elements and a myriad of colors.
As I often do, I stamped lots of images – I'd rather have more than I need and save the extra ones for future projects than having to set up all my inks and stamps again for only a few more images! The variety in the Totally Tropical Stamp Set is truly inspiring and allows for fun combinations and a natural, realistic look.
After stamping the outline of flowers and leaves with Altenew Permanent Black Crisp Ink, I filled them in with the following Crisp Dye Inks:
-
light pink flowers: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious
-
dark pink flowers: Pink Diamond, Razzleberry
-
yellow flowers: Citrus Burst, Mango Smoothie, Peach Perfect
-
teal flowers: Aqualicious, Teal Cave, Galactic Stream
-
orange flowers: Pink Pearl, Heart Beat
-
leaves: Sweet Leaf, Forest Glades, Just Green
I used a cut file as my base just to add an extra layer between the background and all the other elements. I colored it lightly with Altenew Artist Markers in Blush before adhering it down.
I created three clusters around my photo alternating colors and type of flowers and leaves.
Next, I added my sentiments; one from the same Totally Tropical Stamp Set and the other from the Forever and Always Stamp Set. I also included two butterflies and the “love” acetate piece from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.
Black splatters around the main clusters finished the layout.
I hope you enjoyed this summer layout and its bright, happy, tropical vibes.
Until next time!
