Hello, Altenew fans! Enza here and today I'm sharing a layout created with the gorgeous Build-A Flower: Ranunculus stamp set. What I love about it is not only the flower itself (which is one of my favorites) but also the big size. Whether you use it for a card or in a cluster on a layout, you are sure to get amazing results.
I started by inking the white cardstock I used as a background with Altenew Ink Sprays in Frosty Pink and Warm Sunshine. I simply spritzed each color onto the paper a couple of times and allowed it to dry. I had already decided on the shades I wanted my ranunculus to be so pink and yellow created just a bed of color that complemented the stamped images.
- Yellow flowers: Citrus Burst, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine
- Coral flowers: Peach Perfect, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss
- Leaves: Rose Quartz, Morning Frost, Moon Rock.
I often use cut files as a bottom layer before arranging my elements on a page. This time, I have a branch that goes from the bottom to the top of the layout and curves a little bit inward, adding movement and more interest. I placed my stamped images around the branch, and adhered them down with foam tape.
For the photo, I created several layers with patterned paper and vellum, and I also added die cuts from the Rose Filament Die Set in between for dimension and texture. The “awesome” title, as well as the chipboard sticker, the tiny tag, and the Day 1, 2, 3 came from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.
To bring in more contrasting elements, I stamped and heat-embossed the “love this” arrow sentiment from the Point It Out Stamp Set in black. I then cut it out with the coordinating dies.
Thank you for stopping by!
