Let’s create some fun gift tags with ink sprays and stamped sentiments. Just add sequins, small wooden pegs, gold splatters, some thread and/or baker’s twine, and pretty ribbons to make your next gift wrapping project even more special and unique.
Ink Sprays and Water on White Cardstock
Grab a craft mat, some pieces of white cardstock, and some Metallic Shimmer Ink Sprays from Altenew. I used the following ink sprays: Warm Sunshine Metallic Shimmer, Sea Glass Metallic Shimmer, Coral Berry Metallic Shimmer, Frayed Leaf. First, spray inks onto a craft mat. Second, spray some water onto the inks with a small spray bottle. Now press the white cardstock onto the craft mat. Et voilà , your fun background for the gift tags is done. All you need to do now is to cut out your tags – either by hand or with a tag die.
Adding Stamped Sentiments and Other Decoration
Now you can add stamped sentiments from your favorite Altenew Stamp Sets. After you’ve stamped the images onto white cardstock, die-cut them and use them for decoration. I used black ink to stamp the sentiments onto white cardstock. This creates a perfect contrast to the colorful backgrounds of the tags. Now decorate your gift tags with sequins, ribbons, baker’s twine, and sewing thread. And as a finishing touch, don’t forget to add some ink splatters here and there with your Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray.

I hope you like my gift tag inspiration. Why not try to use ink sprays to make your own colorful backgrounds?! It’s fun because each background will be as unique as you are.
Have a good time crafting!
