Hello, everyone!
Kymona here to show you how to create a scrapbook journal from scratch. This is part one of a two-part series.
Let's take a look:
I'm participating in a mug swap this month and my partner loves to travel and her favorite colors are green, blue, and black. So creating a scrapbook journal for her is perfect. It's something she could use and it is handmade. What else could she ask for?
I used the Reflection Collection Mini Stamp, two sheets of Reflection Collection Paper, and a personalized stamp set that Altenew created just for me!
Here's how to create this scrapbook journal:
Cut two 8×8 pieces of scrapbook paper to fit on top of two chipboard pieces and two pieces that will go on the inside of the chipboard pieces.
Adhere the scrapbook paper on top of the chipboard using Altenew Glue Tape.
With the help of the Memory MISTI, stamp the sentiment from the Reflection Collection Mini Stamp Set on the front of the journal using Altenew Permanent Black Ink.
Using the same method, stamp the back panel with a personalized stamp so that the recipient knows who created the notebook.
Once the back and front chipboard pieces are done, cut 8×8 pieces of mixed media paper to go inside of the journal. This book has 60 sheets.
Note: using a mixed media paper allows the user to use their favorite type of medium with no limitations.
Now it's time to bind the book with your favorite binding system. I used We R Memory Keepers Cinch and wires to bind the book together.
To finish off the journal, add some New Day Card Kit Enamel Dots.
Beautifully done. I hope my swap partner loves her new scrapbook journal.
Let's take another look:
So, what do you think? Will you create a scrapbook journal as a gift? I would love to hear from you! Come back for part 2. I'll show you how to create another type of scrapbook journal for another occasion.
