Fancy Background Elements

Welcome to the Altenew Scrapbook Blog and a new layout inspiration with handmade fancy background elements. It's me, Sandra, and I had some fun with a patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection Kit. In addition, I used the Inked Flora Stamp & Die Bundle to stamp and die-cut some large blossoms. And I also used the dotted paper from the 6×6 Celebrations Paper Set that comes with the Celebrate You Kit.

How to:

First, grab a patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection Kit. Then get out your Inked Flora stamps and dies. Stamp onto the patterned paper and die-cut the blossoms. Next, cut some rectangles and squares from another patterned paper. Glue the die-cut blossoms onto the rectangles and squares. Make sure to cut off the excess of the blossoms. This will give your background elements an interesting look.

Next, cut some strips from the dotted paper. In addition, you can use a circle punch to punch circle elements. Arrange all the elements as you like. Use a black pen to draw some lines. You can create boxes across the layout. These boxes are perfect for adding journaling. This gives the scrapbook page a comic-style look.

Finally, add a title to your layout. I used the sentiment ‘Life is beautiful' from the More Than Words Stamp Set. Did you notice that I stamped the title vertically instead of horizontally?! I think this makes the layout more interesting.

I hope you like my layout inspiration. Have fun creating your own fancy background elements. And make sure to use your favorite patterned papers, stamps, and dies from Altenew.
