Washi Tape Element with Cube Cover Die
Hi, Altenew fans! It’s me, Sandra, and I’ve got a new scrapbook layout inspiration for you today.
Grab some white cardstock. Adhere a washi tape of your choice onto the white cardstock. And then use the Cube Cover Die to die-cut a rectangle washi tape element for the background. I used the Rainbow Stripes Washi Tape. The width of the tape is 114 mm (4.49″). Thus, it’s pretty perfect to use with the Cube Cover Die. I was delighted and I giggled with joy when I found out about this.
In addition, you can add some washi tape on the upper and lower edges of your scrapbook layout. I used the fun Swirlies in Pink Washi Tape at the top and at the bottom to frame the layout.
Here is a close-up shot of the background element. I just love the rainbow colors.
TIP: A washi tape is perfect for adding colorful highlights to any of your projects.
A frame for your photo
To highlight your photo, add a handmade frame. I used a beautiful paper from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection. I cut the window with a cutter knife. Just measure your photo and then cut the window accordingly. Make sure to leave some space around the photo. Last but not the least, cut some paper strips and circles to add more details onto your scrapbook layout. I used some pretty papers from the Celebrate You Kit. And I used an ordinary hole punch to make the circles.
I hope you like my scrapbook layout inspiration with the washi tape element for the background. Washi tape is a fun supply! You can also use it to create some cool handmade embellishments. Let’s give it a try. Grab a washi tape and a die from Altenew and get started! Have fun creating today.
Xoxo,
Sandra
