Stamp Focus: Dandelion Wishes

by Vincenza Gudor

Hello, Altenew fans. Enza here, and today I'm bringing you three projects created with the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

I love the dainty look of this set; it's so pretty and delicate, perfect for cards, scrapbook layouts, gift wrapping, and more.

Let's get started!

The first project is a bookmark.

I started by stamping the dandelions on smooth white cardstock. I went with Cosmic Berry Crisp Dye Ink for the flowers, and a mix of Minty Mint, Sweet Leaf, and Just Green for the stems. Then, I used foam dots to adhere them on patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection and stamped the sentiment in the space above. To make the bookmark thicker and more sturdy, I backed it with an additional layer of patterned paper from the same Reflection Scrapbook Collection and finished it with a coordinating ribbon.

For the second project, I decided to create my own gift wrapping paper.

Here I stamped several dandelions all over a 12×12 piece of patterned paper. The Reflection Scrapbook Collection has papers that have a print or pattern only on one side, so I used the blank side for stamping, and “saved” the patterned one for the inside of the box. I chose a variety of Altenew Crisp Dye Inks for the flowers – mostly on the lighter side for a softer and elegant look.

Then, I added two of the sentiments included in the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set on top of the box, as well as foliage from the Envelope Liner Die Set. Again, the Reflection Scrapbook Collection provided the best coordinating colors.

My third and final project is a scrapbook layout.

As I often do when I have a new set to play with, I stamped the different images in a variety of colors before figuring out a design for my page. I opted to create a frame around my photo with all the beautiful dandelions, varying their lengths for more movement and interest.

For the photo, I used foam adhesive to adhere it down, but not before layering patterned papers and a tag behind it to bring all the colors together. For the same reason, I used the Pastel Strokes Washi Tape to create a border on the top and bottom of the page.

The Mega Happy Die is so perfect for page titles! I die cut it from both white and black cardstock and adhered the two together slightly offset to create a shadow and make the title stand out more.

Enamel dots in coordinating colors finished the page.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today and will feel inspired to use the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set in a variety of ways.

Thank you for stopping by!
