Hello, everyone!
Kymona here to wish you a Happy New Year's Eve! I can't believe how fast 2018 has come and, in a few hours, go. This has been an amazing year for me, working with Altenew. All of the product releases this year were AMAZING! I can't wait for 2019!
Today, I'm going to show you how to prepare for the new year by creating a scrapbook calendar! Yes, you can document on your wall calendars too.
Let's take a look:
Fantastic! A 12 x 12 calendar perfect for the new year.
Here's what you need:
- Reflection Scrapbook Collection Patterned Paper
- Year-Round Acetate Die Cuts
- Sweet Hearts Adhesive Wood Veneers
- Mandala Die Set
- New Me Stamp Set
- Watercolor Strokes Washi Tape
- Golden Edge Washi Tape
- Glue Tape
- New Day Card Kit
- Pre-printed Calendar Pages
- Chipboard
- Binding Wire
- Binding Tool
Here's how I created this calendar:
Gather all of your supplies.
Cover the chipboard with the 12 x 12 patterned paper on all 4 sides.
Use a binding tool (I used the Cinch), bind the pages and cover together to create the complete calendar.
Now it's time to decorate! Start with the cover and die cut the numbers for the upcoming year. I used my Cricut here.
Adhere the numbers to the left of the flower. Stamp a sentiment from the New Me Stamp Set to complete the cover.
Let's move to the inside.
Place a piece of the Watercolor Strokes Washi Tape more than halfway down the page.
Die cut the Mandala Die out of gold cardstock from the New Day Card Kit.
Adhere it over the washi tape to the right. Adhere the photo on top of that.
Add a couple of arrows and hearts to the design.
Use the New Me Stamp Set and stamp a couple of sentiments.
Now it's time to personalize the actual calendar.
Use the Year-Round Acetate Die Cuts to label each month.
Add a couple of hearts from Sweet Hearts Adhesive Wood Veneers to the top of the page.
Write in the numbers and add all of your important dates.
Decorate each month as they come for the rest of the year. Once the year ends, you will have another amazing non-traditional scrapbook.
So, what do you think? Will you create your own scrapbook calendar for 2019? I would love to hear from you!
Once again, have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
