Hello, Altenew fans! Enza here, and today I have a new layout for you featuring the gorgeous Hibiscus Garden 3D Die Set. You can find my other layout here.
These flowers are absolutely beautiful, with detailed layers that give them a very realistic look and allow for fun, colorful combinations of plain cardstock and patterned paper.
Let’s take a look at how the layout came together!
I started with a white background, on which I sprayed a thin coat of Altenew’s Frosty Pink Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray, just to give it some color. While that was drying, I chose a cut file to use behind my photos; it’s a tropical floral image that complements the Hibiscus Garden 3D Die Set really well. I opted to enlarge it to take almost the whole page, as I wanted it to be noticeable.
Next, I put together the hibiscus flowers, for which I mixed plain cardstock and papers from the Enchanting Washes 6×6 Paper Pack and the Reflection Scrapbook Collection. I did the same for the leaves.
I matted the photos with patterned paper and arranged them towards the right side of the page. Once those were in place, I created three clusters around them with my die-cut pieces, alternating colors, and shapes for more texture and dimension. Layering is one of my favorite techniques! The Reflection Scrapbook Collection has several sentiments that are travel-related, perfect for the theme of my page. I scattered a few here and there, following the visual triangle created by the clusters.
The “Aloha” title and enamel dots from the Red Cosmos pack finished the page.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to use this gorgeous set on your next project.
Until next time.
