Hello, everyone!
Kymona here to show you how to create a DIY pocket notebook!
I’m using the brand new scrapbook collection line called Live Your Dream. The colors of the pattern paper is amazing. Super vibrant and fun.
Let’s take a look at my pocket notebooks:
Aren’t these notebooks, just the cutest you’ve seen?! I loved making them. They were so easy. A young lady name Amber who I follow demonstrated these notebooks and I could not wait to create them with this scrapbook collection.
Here’s how I created these notebooks:
Creating the cover:
Cut the scrapbook paper to 7 x 7.5.
Score the 7in side at 3.5 and score the 7.5in side at 2.
Fold all of the score lines using a bone folder.
Close the paper on the 3.5 score line.
Take your scissors and cut a triangle from the bottom score line to the end. That triangle cut will create the inside pocket.
Add glue to the short side of the both pockets and close.
Pockets are created!
Creating the inside pages:
Use a smooth 32lb copy paper for the inside pages. You will need six pages.
Cut the copy paper to 5.5 x 6.75.
Fold in half on the long side and crease with a bone folder.
Binding the book:
You can use a standard stapler to bind the book, but I used We R Memory Keepers Book Binding Guide to create an easy saddle stitch.
Inside binding
Outside binding
Decorate the front of the notebook using some thread and a couple of the Live Your Dream chipboard.
Let’s take a closer look:
So, what do you think? Will you use the new scrapbook collection and create your own pocket notebooks? I would love to hear from you!
