Get to know Steffi!
I'm Steffi and I live with my daughter Anni and my husband in a small village in the south of Germany. It is located between Stuttgart and Munich. I started scrapbooking in 2012 when my daughter was born. Back then, I was searching the internet for inspiration for a baby album and I came across the world of scrapbooking!
I started with mini albums. That is also my great passion today. I love to record our journeys, birthdays, small and big moments in albums. In addition, I also like to make layouts. Through layouts, I can live out my creative ideas. Besides scrapbooking, I also like to make decorations. At home, I also get creative together with my daughter. She has the same passion – like me. I have infected her. And I think that is so beautiful.
I also teach scrapbook workshops. I like to meet other people who share the same passion for craft and scrapbooking.
Thank you, Altenew, for having me as a guest designer!! I´m very happy! 🙂
Hello and welcome to my project, which I created with the great products of Altenew. I have chosen a stamp set with leaves – Layered Laurel Stamp Set, as well as number dies – Bold Numerals Die Set. I already had some Altenew Embossing Powder at home. I like the colors very much!
I've had this big picture on my desk for a long time. So far I have created a layout of my daughter every year. The title was always her age.
First, I wanted to concentrate on the 6 years. But I liked it better when all the numbers come on the layout.
First, I punched out the numbers from white cardstock. Then I made myself a small plan, how I would like to arrange the individual numbers? I like to use different techniques, colors, and materials.
First, I wrapped some sewing thread around the first number. The best way to do this is to cut the edge with scissors. This way the thread holds better and doesn't move. I used glue dots on the back.
With the Golden Peach Embossing Powder, I have also decorated a few numbers. Here, I first worked on the number completely stamping it with some Embossing Ink and then I sprinkled the embossing powder on it. I removed the powder in the middle using a brush.
For the pink number 6, I mixed pink and peach embossing powders.
I inked the number 7 with a stamp pad then covered a piece of cardstock with Platinum Embossing Powder. Next, I punched out small dots with a confetti punch. These, I glued with liquid glue on the number.
I think glitter is great too. 🙂 Here, I first applied liquid glue to the number with a brush. Then I spread the glitter on it.
With sewing thread, I have decorated another number. I punched small holes with a piercer and embroidered it with the thread.
The leaves from the stamp set were also used. I stamped them with different shades of green.
When all the numbers were decorated, I decorated the background with the sentiments from the stamp set. For this, I used a light gray stamp pad and the beautiful words from the stamp set.
Finally, I glued the letters on the photo, as well as the stamped title.
I hope you enjoyed my layout. The stamp and die sets that I used are so versatile. That's what I like about it. Thank you very much!
We are so in love with your super fun and vibrant layout, Steffi! Your creativity is so inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing these with us! We were absolutely thrilled and honored to have you as our March Guest Designer.
