Hello, Altenew friends! Welcome to our second April Guest Designer post. If you missed out on the other guest designer post, we featured the very talented Meghann Andrew. Feel free to check it out here.
Today, we have the lovely Amanda Baldwin and she is inspiring us with two equally beautiful layouts using our products. Amanda is also a featured guest designer in our recent release blog hops and we were over the moon when she said YES to guest designing for us. If you want to take a quick look at Amanda's creative work, head over to her Instagram feed and check them out.
Get to know Amanda!
Hi friends! I'm Amanda, a.k.a. @happy_arty_days, and I am a super creative, photography loving, visual artist! I love working with color, pattern, & floral designs, as well as getting my fingers inky! I have an abundance of energy and usually have 4 or 5 projects on the go at one time! I only drink coffee on days ending in ‘y', and sunshine, rainbows, & unicorns are my jam! Outfit Of The Day always includes distressed denim and when I'm not creating in the studio, you'll find me at the beach with my family & miniature doxie pup!
I am so super excited to be the April Guest Designer for Altenew, and hope my projects will inspire you!
For today's post, I am sharing 3 scrapbook layouts created with the gorgeous new Live Your Dream Collection! This collection is just divine! Think beautiful, vivid watercolors, and modern, elegant florals – ga ga gorgeous!!! My first layout really highlights both these features.
I was smitten by the floral and leaf designs in the Live Your Dream Collection, and couldn't resist fussy cutting and layering them!
To keep with this style, I mounted the Live Your Dream Clear Stickers onto white cardstock, and fussy cut them out too. I just love how pretty layered ephemera looks!
The Live Your Dream Wood Epoxy Buttons were the perfect addition to the layered embellishments, and I used both the Chipboard and Puffy Alphabet Stickers to finish off my scrapbook page.
Please watch my video below to see my scrapbook process and how it all comes together! You can also watch it in HD on Altenew's YouTube Channel.
My second layout also features fussy cut blooms!
For this layout, I have focused on the larger watercolor blooms and maximized their elegance and beauty with clever use of white ‘negative' space.
I also added a larger Chipboard and Clear Sticker to keep the blooms in proportion. With such dominant features, I tucked in a tiny photograph to create a point of interest.
The beautiful blooms still capture your attention, but my tiny photo is now the focal point. Perfect!
My third layout with the Live Your Dream Collection is this soft and pretty page.
“Live Your Dream”
I just adore the softness and light on this delicate page!
Like all my scrapbook layouts, I used white cardstock to create a clean, fresh, and contemporary look. Inspired by the color in my ballerina's tutu, I draw on the Live Your Dream 12×12 papers and embellishments that best compliment this color.
You'll also spy that I use Altenew's Flowing Butterfly Stencil beneath my photo. This pretty detail adds just the right amount of whimsy & playfulness to the design. Love it!
And that's all for my post today! I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects, & process video! I'll be back next month with just a couple more Live Your Dream scrapbook layouts.
Wow. Wow. WOW! Your projects have left us totally speechless, Amanda! We are simply blown away by the elegance and beauty of these scrapbook layouts. Thank you so much for being our April Guest Designer! We are looking forward to seeing your other projects next month!
