Welcome to the Altenew Scrapbook Blog. It’s me, Sandra, and I’m sharing two projects with the A Study in Watercolor Stamp and Die Set. I created a scrapbook page and a card with the pretty stamps from this set. And now let’s have a look at the two projects I made.
Project 1 | Scrapbook Page with A Study in Watercolor
How to:
First, I used an 8.5 x 11 piece of white cardstock for the background. Second, I used a variety of Mini Cube Sets to stamp a large number of images from A Study in Watercolor onto white cardstock. I went for spring-like colors from the following Mini Cube Sets: Four Scoops, Sea Shore, and Green Fields. Third, I die cut the leaves with my die-cutting machine. Fourth, I placed the photo, the journaling, and the leaves onto the background and adhered all embellishments with foam pads. Fifth, to add a finishing touch, I added sequins and glued them down with glue dots.
Project 2 | Card with a large shaker window
How to:
First, I created a blank card base from white cardstock. Second, I used some of the stamped images that were left over from my scrapbook page and attached them with foam pads. In addition, I placed a nice photo on the card because I want to use the card as a voucher for a nice bouquet of flowers. Third, I scattered sequins onto the card base as well. Fourth, I cut a piece of acetate and sewed it onto the front of the card with my sewing machine. The shaker window covers all embellishments to make sure they all stay in place. Finally, I stamped sentiments onto white cardstock and glued them onto the shaker window. Et voila, now I’ve got a pretty shaker window card to say ‘Thank you”.
Last but not least, have fun using the A Study in Watercolor set from Altenew on your creative projects. Have a good day and keep on being a creative soul.
Xoxo,
Sandra
