Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here. Today I’d like to share with you a couple of different ideas using the new Peaceful Reverie Stamp Set.
This is definitely a very unique design, featuring a mix of solid images and dotted details so you can either use them on their own or combine them for a layered result.
To showcase these different ideas, I created something I absolutely adore – bookmarks! Of course, you can recreate these on a larger scale and turn them into card panels or use them as patterned paper on a scrapbook layout.
First Technique
For my first technique, I’m using the Peaceful Reverie Mask Stencil. I stuck the small pieces on my bookmark to mask off the areas I want to stamp the flowers and then I did some ink blending on the background. The colors I used were Bamboo, Fresh Lemon, and Rubellite Inks.
After that, I used the dotted images and stamped them in the masked areas in the same colors as the ink blending around them.
Second Technique
For the second bookmark, I only used solid images from the stamp set. I picked some reds and pinks to stamp my flowers and also added a few leaves in Volcano Lake. To achieve a more organic look for the pattern, you should start the design outside the border of the paper and move from one edge to the other.
Third Technique
Last but not least, I did another ink blended bookmark. This time I did the ink blending part in the whole background. Then used the same ink colors to add a light impression of the dotted images on top of it.
To finish my bookmarks, I used the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set to add little messages at the top.
