Welcome to the Altenew Scrapbook Blog where I have a new post featuring scrapbook paper for card-making. It’s me, Sandra. I’m sharing five fun cards that I created with a variety of 6×6 paper packs, washi tape, die-cut titles, and stamped sentiments.
How to use Scrapbook Paper for Card-making
Altenew has a variety of 6×6 paper pads. And they are great for scrapbookers and card-makers alike. On today’s projects, I combined bold patterns and stamped embellishments. First, I cut paper bases from white cardstock or patterned paper. Second, I cut papers in different sizes from the 6×6 paper pads and layered them onto the card bases. Third, I used a corner chomper to make round corners.
In addition, I cut pocket tags from patterned paper and added die-cut titles, stamped titles, and a washi tape doily.
To add more dimension, you can use twine as a decorative element. On the next card, I used twine and placed it underneath a stamped sentiment.
If you’re not sure how to embellish your cards, why not try to make your own doily embellishment? For the final card, I created a fun washi tape doily. First, I adhered washi tape onto white cardstock. Second, I used a doily die from my stash to create this fun embellishment. Altenew has pretty and elegant washi tapes in their store. And I’m sure you will find the perfect washi tape to decorate your cards.
I hope you like my card inspiration. Have fun using your favorite 6×6 paper pads and stamps to create simple and stunning cards. Also, add little details like die-cut titles, twine/thread, and handmade pocket tags to make your cards more interesting. And now enjoy your crafting process.
Keep on being a creative soul!

I’m always keen on making my own embellishments and sentiment panels. The washi tape die-cut is fabulous! Thanks for the inspiration!
