Welcome to today’s Stamp Focus blog post. The stamp I’ll be working with is the Wonderful Wycinanki Stamp Set. I paired it with the coordinating die set which makes the cutting out of the shapes so much easier. Wycinanki is a Polish word and means: papercutting.
I created two cards and a layout with this set and had a ton of fun.
Let’s have a look at the layout first.
I loved the colors in the photo which was taken on our family vacation in England and picked the ink colors so that they would match those in the picture.
First, I stamped the larger images and I used my large 12×12 MISTI to get the images nicely lined up. Then, I added some stems and extra flowers in between. I also stamped some separate images that I cut out. There were added to the composition using foam dots; making them overlap with the flowers beneath.
I had some extra hearts and labels from a project I made months ago and the colors were a perfect match so I used them to add more detail. A die-cut from the Live Your Dream Collection and a stamp from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection created the perfect title.
You can see how the layout came together in the video below or watch it in HD on YouTube.
For my first card, I stamped a couple of images with Embossing Ink and used Platinum Embossing Powder to create an embossed image. Then I added some watercolor to the paper with Altenew’s Watercolor Brush Markers. I worked on normal cardstock but would advise watercolor paper.
For my sentiment, I used some black cardstock and stamped it using Embossing Ink and Platinum Embossing Powder.
You can see how I created the effect in the video below or watch it in HD on YouTube.
For my last card, I created a background with the Bubble Wrap Stencil and some blue inks that I blended over the stencil.
First, I stamped some images on a separate piece of card using the same colors and cut them out with the coordinating dies. These were arranged to look like a “flower girl” with leafy arms. I love how this card turned out.
Isn’t this stamp set just so pretty? I love the whimsical look of it and the endless creative possibilities it gives.
Thank you for stopping by and happy scrapping.
