Get to know Irina!
Hello! I’m Irina Fonina and I live in Moscow, Russia. I’ve been an Altenew fan since they started creating beautiful floral layering stamp sets. Now I’m proud to be involved in the development of this company being an Altenew Certified Educator and also by running a retail store that is offering Altenew products. I’ve been scrapbooking for many years and have made more than 100 photo albums. I also enjoy creating cards and mixed media projects. It is so cool that paper crafting unites people around the globe!
Let's check out Irina's project!
Today, I’m presenting my new project. This scrapbook album is about my vacation in Greece in 2016. I created it by altering a pre-made photo album from a souvenir shop. I will be showing the process in my how-to video.
But what I find more interesting is the creative process of scrapbooking. I’m going to share my ideas on how to embellish pages using Altenew products.
I decided to use brown kraft cardstock for the pages. I stamped floral images from Pen Sketched Flowers Stamp Set with Obsidian Pigment Ink. Background stamping adds dimension to the layout. And it is really quick and easy.
Next, I added some Altenew Enamel Dots. They come in different color families and are perfect for scrapbooking as well as cardmaking.
The chipboard stickers from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection by Altenew are my go-to! I used almost all of them in my album. And I also used a few Die-Cuts from the same collection.
I was using scrapbook paper to add patterns to the background. The Essential Rock 6×6 Collection Paper Pack by Altenew goes perfectly for my project.
For the other pages, I used more stamp sets like Invisible Alpha, Trigonometry, and Traveling Mini Stamp Set.
Another embellishment that I used for my album is the Gold String Washi Tape. I also stamped the leaves from Pen Sketched Flowers Stamp Set with Altenew's Antique Gold Pigment Ink. It matches the golden stripes on the washi tape.
You might notice that I stamped different frames from Crystal Frames Stamp Set to have spots for journaling throughout the album.
I hope that this project will inspire some of you to print your vacation photos and make a scrapbook album.
~Irina
