Welcome to today's blog post. I will be showcasing the Circle Quilt Cover Die in three ways. This set is so pretty and dainty and perfect for many crafting purposes.
For my first project, I created a very simple card. First, I used the die to cut some white cardstock. I went with a thicker cardstock and only rolled it through my machine once. When lifting off the plates, I was very careful not to move the die-cut and I immediately stuck a piece of card on top to secure all the delicate elements.
For my sentiment, I used a colored die-cut (You Are Loved Die) that I created some time ago but never used. I love how the soft colors popped off the white background and the die added some dainty detail.
The following project is a layout. I decided to cut out the die shape from some patterned paper. I chose a paper from the Live Your Dream Collection.
Instead of using the die-cut as a whole, I cut it up and popped it beneath my photo which I printed onto a specialty transfer paper. I then ironed it on a piece of fabric and popped it in an embroidery hoop. Cutting up the die is a perfect way to add layers to a layout and use one piece in several spots.
For embellishments, I picked out some butterfly stickers and cut out some flowers from a 6×6 paper from the Alluring Blooms 6×6 Paper Pack.
For my last piece, I kept it very simple and made the Circle Quilt Cover Die the star of the layout. I used a 6×6 paper from the Celestial Paper Pack and added a second paper beneath it. Then I cut out some stars and picked a picture which I also cut in a star shape. The Halftone Stars Nesting Dies were perfect tools.
For my title and journaling, I used sentiments from the Halftone Stars Stamp Set. It is a very simple layout but I love its bright colors.
What would you use this wonderful die for?
Thank you for stopping by and see you soon.
