Hello everyone!
Kymona here with a fun layout using the new String Art Heart Die!
This die is so much fun to work with. Being able to combine thread and paper crafting brings me great joy. Hand stitching allows for excellent hand-eye coordination. Plus, you get to create the design in your style and likeness.
Let’s take a look at my string art scrapbook:
I created this 8 x 8 scrapbook page for my daughter to remind her that she can do anything she puts her mind to. She started sewing at the age of 8 and now, at 13, she sews when she feels like it. That bag in the photo is the second bag she made all on her own.
Let’s take a closer look:
I used a 12 wt cotton multi-color thread to create my textured heart with curves and dimensions.
The sentiment stamp set that I used is called Fancy Greetings. I used the Jet Black Ink from the Floral 6 Mini Cube Set. The sentiment fits the photo well.
To add color to the background, I used the Liquid Marble Stencil and Ruby Red Ink to stencil the background.
Let’s take another look at that heart:
So what do you think? Would you try hand stitching? I would love to hear your thoughts.
