Welcome to another Stamp Focus blog post. Today I'll be featuring the new Across the Pond Stamp Set. This stamp set was designed for all of our friends across the pond! Alternate spellings of words in versatile sentiments are featured in a gorgeous pairing of fonts. Anyone who uses British English will certainly “favour” these stamps!
The sentiments are such fun and can be used on any type of project.
FIRST PROJECT
For my first project, I created a card. One of the sentiments from the set is the centerpiece of the card.
How to:
- Create your background using a stencil and Altenew Crisp Dye Inks and a blending tool. I used the Deco Wonder Stencil and the Sweet Dreams Oval Ink Set.
- Stamp your sentiment in the center.
- Add embellishments if necessary. I place some Fantasy Floral Leaf die-cuts on the top and bottom borders.
I love the crisp black color from the Obsidian Pigment Ink against the luscious teal combo from the blended inks.
SECOND PROJECT
My second and third projects are layouts. On my first layout, I used the set as journalling. This is a great way to use your sentiment stamp sets.
I started by creating the base of my design with a strip of patterned paper that breaks up the grey background. Both papers are from the Our Family Scrapbook collection.
Then I cut out some flowers from the remaining patterned paper, added some colored Botanical Rhapsody Washi Tape elements, as well as some butterfly die-cuts from the Mix and Match Mariposa Die Set.
This layout was so easy to create and the sentiments were the perfect finishing touch and added some contrast too.
THIRD PROJECT
The second layout is very simple in design. I used the Vibrant Spray Die-Cut Tape on the top and bottom, cutting it in two. I also fussy cut some of the flowers from the die-cut tape.
The Across the Pond Stamp Set was used to create a subtle background combining a soft grey ink with a black one. I alternated the direction of the stamps to add interest and detail. The black stamped images and my journalling frame the photo, making the photo the focal point.
If you are looking for a fun sentiment stamp, this is the one to get. And if you love the British spelling this one is especially up your alley.
Thank you for stopping by and happy scrapping.
