How to Create a Believe in Yourself Journal

by Kymona Tracey

Hello everyone!

I can't believe the holidays are upon us. It was just yesterday we were bringing in the new year. November brings on a time of thankfulness. For me, it also brings on a time to reflect on the past and the coming year.

Today I'm showing you how to create a “believe in yourself” journal using the Graphic Brushstrokes Stamp Set.

Let's take a look at my “believe in yourself” journal:

Creating this journal was easy and fun. Such a great place to write down all of my thoughts and feelings. What I've accomplished and things I still have to do.  The leather will keep all of the pages nice and neat.

Here's what you need:

12×12 White Cardstock
Graphic Brushstrokes
Permanent Black Crisp Ink
Genuine Leather
Electric Cutter
Large Eye Embroidery Needle
Tissue Paper
Fabric Ink

To create the cover design and cut the paper, I used my electric cutter to cut them out. For those of you who do not have an electronic cutter.

Here's the measurement:

Leather: 11.5″ x 5.5″
Cardstock and Tissue Paper: 11″ x 5″
Punch two holes in all of the seams.

Once all of the pieces are cut out, putting the journal together is easy.
Second, use the large eye embroidery needle to pull the ribbon through all of the holes. Then make a bow on the outside of the journal.

Then stamp the sentiment “believe in yourself” on the leather cover using the fabric ink.
Finally, stamp the same sentiment on the bottom of each page using Altenew's Permanent Black Crisp Ink.

Super elegant and simple.

So, what do you think? Will you create a journal to write down your thoughts? I would love to hear from you! If you're looking for other notebooks, check out this post.
