December 2019 Ink Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

by Lilith Eeckels

Welcome to our December 2019 Ink Release post! If you have hopped over from Jessica Frost-Ballas‘s blog you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.

For today's hop featuring our new inks, I created a layout using my latest favorite technique: INK BLENDING.

I used the Sugarplums Oval Ink Set and pulled out a stencil I hadn't used before: Layered Kaleidoscope Stencil A.

With a blending tool, I blended in different shades working my way from light to dark. Altenew Stencils are easy to use and you can create a whole background with them.

To break up my background, I used some Gilded Ombre Washi Tape as well as some flowers cut out from the Glitter Flurries Washi Tape. For the title, I went with the Peony Spray Stamp Set. I used the darkest shade – PLUM – to stamp the title. The color blends in well with the other hues but still pops off the page.

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 12/11/2019 for a chance to win.

We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 12/14/2019.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone connect up the Kaleidoscope stencils like this, and I love the pattern you’ve created. Also, it’s so nice to see how the new purples go with the purple washi. I love how well all your products work together.
