“BELIEVE” – Traveler's Notebook Layout
To emphasize the watercolor look of the stamp design, I chose to use two ink tones (Red Cosmos and Tea Party Mini Cube Stamp sets) to create each of the flowers for this page. A mist of water helps to activate/dilute the ink thus creating the fluid watercolor look of the roses. I repeated the technique to create the leaves and branch images with Tropical Forest Mini Ink Cube set.
For the background of the page, I used Peach Gold Washi Tape (adhered to white cardstock) and the Layered Snowflake Stars Cover Die A. The large die-cut serves as the anchor for the rose clusters. A simple title – a sentiment from the Watercolor Roses Stamp Set stamped in Obsidian Ink – adorned the page. The finishing touch was a few drops of Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray. Gift Wrapping
Let's continue our Stamp Focus: Watercolor Roses with a new idea that showcases the simple designs on homemade gift wrapping. This is a great way to personalize your presents!
I used Green Meadows mini ink cube and Golden Sunset mini ink cube set to create the colorful and cheery patterned paper. A few clusters of the Watercolor Roses repeat inside the paper perimeter.
A bit of double-sided tape holds the paper together as the wrapping of the present. And a simple ribbon across the package just complements the flowers.
The finishing touch is a small tag created with the Rounded Rectangles Die Set and the new Happy Birthday Stamp Set (by the Stamping Village). A cluster of the Watercolor Roses just brings it all together. You are going to love creating your own one-of-a-kind gift wrapping.
“Believe In Yourself” – Scrapbook Layout
To finish today's Stamp Focus: Watercolor Roses post, I chose a simple layout with a Krafty technique. Indeed, the layout is built with Watercolor Roses embossed on Kraft paper!
All the flowers for the page are created by heat embossing the images with Embossing Ink and Pure White Embossing Powder and Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder. The combination of the white and pearl texture on kraft create a fun and earthy look for the page.
To bring some color to the page, I chose to layer some Misty Meadow Washi Tape on the sides of the layout. The soft color (Tropical Forest ink set) and the Delicate Mandala die-cut soften the look of the Kraft paper on the page. The sentiments of the Watercolor Roses Stamp Set are perfect to embellish the page and create simple titles.
