Welcome to another day of inspiration here on the Altenew Mixed Media Blog. Today, I'll be sharing three projects I created with the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set.
This is such a versatile set and I found it really easy to use. Combined with the mask and die set this stamp set will give endless creative possibilities.
My first project is the first page in my travel/document journal. I decided to do more journalling as the scrapbook layouts take up so much space. I started by using the Fabulous Florets Mask Stencil to add a subtle background to the sides of the two pages. Then, I added some stamped and cut out flowers from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set and layered them on the composition.
I used some sentiments from the All Things Orange Stamp Set for journaling and some small details like the butterflies and the subtle flowers on the top and bottom edges.
Small sequins add a hint of bling and dimension without taking up too much space in my journal.
You can see how I created this layout in the video below or watch it in HD on YouTube.
DIE-CUTTING FROM PATTERNED PAPER
The following projects are cards. The first was created using the outline stamp from the flower from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set. I stamped it onto some patterned papers from A Love For Stripes Set A 6×6 Paper Pack and cut out the flowers with the coordinating dies.
I placed the cut-out flowers onto some patterned paper from the Fuchsia Soiree 6×6 Paper Pack and created a “ledge” with some Gold Foil 1 Inch Washi Tape. A couple of white butterflies added dimension.
QUICK MIXED MEDIA CARD
The second card was a quick mixed media card project. On one of my YouTube Lives, I used some embossing paste with the Bubble Wrap Stencil to create a background for a card. The colors fit in perfectly with some of the flowers I cut out.
The finishing touch was a sentiment.
How would you use this fabulous new stamp set?
I hope you feel inspired. Keep safe and happy scrapping.
