Fun and Easy Stamped Tea Koozie

by Kymona Tracey

Hello everyone! Kymona here with a fun and easy stamped tea koozie project using a new stamp set from Altenew – Mega Brush Alpha!

How many of you have fun items lying around your house not being used? Me! I'm so guilty of buying things that I don't need but buy them anyway with hopes of using them one day. LOL!

Today, I'm going to share one of those items with you.

Check out my new tea koozie:

I told you I am guilty of having small items in my home for crafty projects. I have a drawer full of these koozies, and I have no idea why. So choosing this item to stamp on was easy.

Stamping on fabric is my thing. Whenever I'm given a chance to try different materials, I go for it.

Materials:

Here's how I stamped on the tea koozie:

  • This material is pretty bouncy, so you need to use a MISTI to make sure you get a good impression.
  • Take the paper pad and foam pad out of the MISTI base.
  • Place the koozie in the top right-hand corner.

Place the magnets on the inside of the koozie out of the way of the stamps.magnets in tea koozie magnet in bottom of tea koozieAlign the letters on top of the koozie to make sure they are centered. Once this is done, remove the letters leaving only the first letter.

Ink the stamp and stamp on the tea koozie. The first impression will be light, so you will have to stamp 5-6 times to make sure the ink is dark enough for you.

Heat set the ink and you're good to go.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Would you try stamping on some koozies for your next project? I would love to hear your thoughts. If you would like to see another project using fabric that I created, click here.
