Hello and welcome to another Altenew mixed media blog post! It's Reiko here with you today sharing a fun altered book inspiration featuring the Vintage Roses Stamp Set and lots of amazing products.
Let's Take a Look:
This is an old book that I've found at an interior shop. I am having fun decorating each page with stamps, inks and washi tapes. This time, I've decided to cut inside pages leaving 5/8-inch like a frame.
I added three types of flowers – stamped roses, an outline stamp image of a small bouquet and die cut roses.
These are the products I used for creating the altered book:
How to Create the Altered Book:
First, I cut out the inside pages and adhered each page like the picture above and made two layers. I left one page with no glue, so that I was able to insert stamped flowers between the pages.
Then, I painted the bottom page by using white acrylic paint, and adhered line stones on the edge of the frame.
Then, add the Altenew Embossing Paste and sprinkle the Golden Peach Crisp Embossing Powder like the picture above. I didn't heat the embossing powder this time.
To add the die cut roses and ink sprays, please check this blog post. With no technique you can be an artist!
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you’re all inspired to use this gorgeous stamp set and other fantastic products in your next project! Happy crafting!

So very pretty!
Thank you!!
I am captivated. I will now be looking for old books (like tax books or something completely boring) so that I can try this technique. I can think of several readers in my world who would love something like this to display in their reading nooks.
Yes! My book was about the world wars and it was only $5. I painted and covered the sentences! Have fun creating yours.
What a wonderful look. I love the frame……
Thank you so much! I want to try making more of it.
So beautiful!
