3 Paper Crafting Projects featuring Holiday Tag Die Set (+ Video Tutorial)

by Nathalie

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today to share 3 paper crafting ideas using the new Holiday Tag Die Set.   I think we all are excited to  see the new Altenew Holiday stamp and die releases.  But, what do you do with the sets once the season is done?  When you have well designed products, it is easy to use them beyond its intended purpose.  Let me show you my ideas…

  •    Memory Keeping layout

My first idea is all about memory keeping.  The size of the tag is perfect for my journal, so i set to add multiple  pictures in one page.  The pictures had different subjects, colors and feels, but all belong to a single day of my life.  So, what better way to unify the page than create an interactive element to  conceal them.

A swiveling tag helps to conceal the images.  These are created from papers from the Our Family Scrapbook collection and Bold Numerasl Die set and held together with a brad.   The legs behind the brad allow for the top tag to move revealing the picture under the numbered one.

  •   Gift Tag

No present is ever complete without a tag as a finishing touch.  The new Holiday Tag Die set is so versatile you can create gift tags for all occasion.

The edge detailer dies that come in the set can easily bring texture to the tag.  I cut strips of paper and detailed its edges, then layered them on the tag.   The finishing touch a sentiment from the Kind Reminders stamp set and a small Mini Delights: Cactus stamp and Die set  image.

Imagine the possibilities of customizing the tag to fit the present or recipient.   So easy to put together with just a few supplies, too.

  • Celebration Card

Once again i want to give you an idea for a simple and fun card. How about layering tags!  For this, i heat embossed sentiments from the Holiday Sentiment Tag Stamp set on vellum (Platinum Crisp Embossing powder, Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder).   The vellum sentiments become overlays for the cardstock tags.

To bring a bit of fun to the card, i added an impression of the Feeling Dotty Stencil to the card using an Ink Blending tool.   Then, i just layered the cards using a bit of foam adhesive -this helps to add movement and dimension to the card-. A few Antique Gold sequins complete the card.  You can see all the projects come together in the following video, watch it here or  in HD at the Altenew YouTube channel:

ARVE Error: need id and provider

I hope these inspire you to use the new Holiday Tag Die set after the Holidays have finished.    All you need is the die and paper!
