Hey, Crafty Friends! This is Maryám and today I’m going to be sharing with you how to create some classy and elegant bookmarks using only 2×3 stamp sets. Sometimes people don’t really pay attention to these mini stamp sets just because they are little but let me tell you that you can do amazing things with them!
For today’s project, I’m going to be using the following three sets which happen to coordinate beautifully together.
How-To!
To create the bookmarks, I started by stamping the floral images onto watercolor paper with Embossing Ink. I then sprinkled some Antique Gold Embossing Powder over the image, tapped off the excess, and used my heat tool to melt the powder.
Continuing with the process, I grabbed some of my Liquid Watercolors and started coloring the flowers. The colors I used are- Fresh Lemon, Warm Sunshine, Autumn Blaze, Crimson, Rubellite, Lime, and Moss.
Once I finished, I fussy the flowers with my fine tip scissors leaving a small white border all the way around. Then, I came back I turned the same white border into a black border with the help of Jet Black Artist Alcohol Marker.
Following up, I grabbed some Jet Black Cardstock and cut three pieces of 2.5” x 7” inches. Next, I took my stamp sets again and stamped the floral images onto the black cardstock several times with Embossing Ink creating a fun background. I then quickly grabbed the Antique Gold Embossing Powder and sprinkled it onto the images. And once again, just like I did before, I used the heat gun to melt the powder.
After I finished stamping and embossing the three panels, I adhered the watercolored flowers onto the center of each one of them with some foam dots. Last but not least, I added some sentiments in black from the same stamp sets for which I use Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you liked the projects I shared using some cute 2 x 3″ stamp sets. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section below. I’ll be happy to help you.
Hope you have an awesome day!
