How to Create a Stamped Book Cover

by Kymona Tracey

Hello everyone, Kymona here with a project that shows you how to create a stamped book cover for any notebook you have on hand.

I love notebooks. New notebooks. The smell of new always makes me happy. Writing on the first page for the first time is fun too. That is why I created a cover to transfer to other books when the current notebook is full.

Let's take a look at the stamped book cover:

Books are Magic: Finished Product

This was fun to make, from cutting the fabric to stamping on the fabric. You can give this away as gifts or keep it for yourself.

Here's how to create your own stamped book cover:

Materials:

Altenew Books Are Magic
Altenew Mixed Media Black Ink
Memory MISTI
Journal Cover Pattern by Sharon Holland
Chambray Tilda Fabric
Cutting Mat
Rotary Cutter
Interfacing
Thread

Here's how you make it:

Follow the sewing pattern to make your own book cover.

Once the book cover, front, and back are sewn and turned inside out, it's time to stamp the cover the way you want.

Decide where you want your sentiment and images to be. Place them onto the fabric and use the cover of the MISTI to make sure the stamps are lined up.

Place the fabric in the Scrapbook MISTI and place the images where you would like them to be.

Ink the stamps and stamp the images.

Repeat stamping as many times as you see fit. The goal is to use the smaller stamps and create a design going upward.

Once your done, add your notebook and get to writing!
