Hello there!
Nathalie with you today with a new idea for die cutting for your memory keeping layouts. Every month, I look forward to all the new die releases from Altenew. There is always so much detail and fresh designs in each of the new dies. Since my first love is documenting stories, I want to share an idea on how to use some of the new dies -only- to create a new layout on my large notebook.
Supplies:
This new notebook (my Gratitude Journal) layout features Climber Flower Die Set, Branches and Berries Die Set, Creative Edges: Scalloped Scallops Die Set, and Fine Alphabet Die Set .
Process:
I am using color cardstock that matches the colors in the photos. Adding Double Sided Adhesive Sheets behind the cardstock before die cutting it makes it so easy to build the flowers. The adhesive transforms the cardstock to a sticker which makes putting the flowers together a breeze! In addition, the scalloped border helps to frame the layout and bring the focus to the pictures.
The design in the Climber Flowers Die Set is filled with small details that create a beautiful cluster of flowers. The leaf/branch die-cut provides perfect placing for the flowers, which helps when creating a large number of them. The size of the floral die-cuts is perfect for large memory keeping layouts. The small die-cuts from the Branches and Berries Die Set help to bring movement to the page.
To continue the color scheme of the page, I am using the new Red Sunset Slim Washi Tape Set and Fine Alphabet Die Set for the title.
Video Tutorial:
The following video shows you how the page comes together. You can watch it here or in HD at Altenew's YouTube Channel:
I hope this inspires you to use die cutting for your next memory keeping layout!!
XO

I just love the design of this page – and love all the posts related to scrapbooking (since I’m not much of cardmaker). The colors, placement, border punching and all the fine details wow me. Thank you for sharing – I’m always left inspired after viewing these blog posts.
