Hi Crafters! Amanda here, and I'm so excited to be sharing some creative crafting inspiration in this brand new Featured Florals series! From scrapbook pages, home decor, DIY projects, planner pages and more, this fun, fresh & fortnightly new series shines the spotlight on getting crafty with Altenew florals!
So what are we waiting for? Let's dive straight in with today's featured floral: the brand new Blossom & Bloom Outline Stamp & Die Bundle. If you haven't seen this amazing new stamp set, it's part of our Thanks and Blessings Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release which you can check out HERE.
Here's a look at my completed project:
Swoon! SO very pretty in pink! The Blossom & Bloom Stamp is pure perfection! I just couldn't resist featuring it over, and over again on my scrapbook page.
Inspired by the colors in my darling daughter's photograph, I decided to stamp the Blossom & Bloom Stamp in Razzleberry Ink onto the B side of Wildflower pattern paper: In The Loop. Such a simple stamping technique, but so effective!
To enhance those razzleberry stamped blooms, I mixed the Rubellite Crisp Dye Ink into some Embossing Paste. Using a Mixed Media Palette Knife I smeared this pretty pink paste across my white cardstock base – like icing a cake! I also smeared some watery Rubellite ink into my embossing paste background & flicked a few brush splatters too! The monochromatic mixed media makes those blooms flourish, so why not add some more?
To build up this monochromatic base, I stamped some tiny razzleberry florals from the new Greatest Blessings Stamp Set. This might be a Sentiment Stamp Set, but I could not ignore those cute floral icons. Almost like the ‘best supporting actress' to the Blossom & Bloom florals, don't you think?
When it comes to featured florals more is more!
I positioned 2 of the die cut Blossom & Bloom florals over this pretty mixed media base in opposite directions, layering my photo through the center. I also tucked a few of the Wildflower Bitty Bits Ephemera blooms into the photo and floral cluster. Simple & sweet!
With the Greatest Blessings Stamp handy, I crafted my layout title, ‘Blessings'. The coordinating Greatest Blessings Die made cutting this stamped title a dream! The ‘everyday is a blessing' sentiment was stamped onto a Wildflower Ephemera label, to add a small touch of journaling to my page. This label was supported with a segmented Blossom & Bloom floral and foam mounted for maximum impact! I then adorned the top right and bottom left corners of my page with more segmented blooms.
A light sprinkling of Cherry Blossom Enamel Dots completed the page! A perfect finishing touch!
Blossom & Bloom-ing beautiful! I think you'll agree, that the Blossom & Bloom floral stamp was worthy of today's ‘Featured Floral' spotlight!
