Get to know Rosie

Hello from Western Canada! I’m Rosie Neustaedter born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and the youngest of 3 by 20 minutes, I’m a twin! I fell in love with Altenew the moment I laid eyes on their first release and LOVE incorporating cardmaking products into my first paper crafting love…scrapbooking! I’d love to hear from fellow crafters, so pop by my blog www.rosieneustaedter.com or Instagram @rosieneust and say hello!

I first began scrapbooking because of a love of documenting life through photos. Vacations generate A LOT of photos so I always have a bunch to choose from for projects, as I’m sure I print more than I need.

We took a family trip of a lifetime to the UK in 2016, as friends moved back to Great Britain from Canada and invited us to visit. These photos are from a day trip the six of us took to Reading.

I started by tapping the Jet Black Watercolor Brush Marker over white cardstock to “splatter” the ink. After matting the photos on Altenew Gold Foil Cardstock, I inked the Blossoming Branches 3D Embossing Folder with Forest Glades Mixed Media Ink, added white cardstock to the folder, and ran it through my Big Shot to emboss and transfer the ink. I repeated this a second time to deepen the green color along with repeating the process on the second piece of white cardstock.

I had two Floral Lace die-cuts I had cut for a previous project from dark green paper in the Wildflower Scrapbooking Collection, so I used those to anchor the top left and bottom right corners of the layout.

Next, I fussy cut images from the embossed pieces and moved them around until I was happy with the general placement, and then adhered the die-cuts and fussy-cut pieces with liquid adhesive.

I layered fussy-cut pieces with Instant Dimension Foam Tape, as well.

Once the photos, die-cuts, fussy-cut pieces, and title die-cut with the Altenew Fine Alphabet Die were adhered to the layout, I added Antique Gold Sequins and Green Fields enamel dots.

WOW! How incredible and serene does Rosie's layout look?! Rosie, we are LOVING it! We hope to have you guest design for us again soon!
