Today I am sharing how to create a clean and simple pastel mixed media art journal page! The main focus of this art journal page is the Pen Sketched Silhouette Stamp and Die Set.
I was inspired by the stamp set to create a page with lots of negative space and all the focal elements arranged mainly on one side.
To start, stamp some of the floral elements from the stamp set using Lavender Fields Crisp Dye Ink with a stamp positioning tool. To give more depth to the stamping, repeat with very light touches of Deep Iris around the edges of the same stamp without removing it from the stamp positioning tool. Die cut the flowers with matching Die Set.
To create the background, softly apply Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink through the Patchwork Kite Stencil with Small Ink Blending Brushes. As the design is geometrical, you can easily repeat the pattern by aligning it in a new spot and extend the design. Stamp a sentiment from the stamp set with Obsidian Ink.
Using the Alphabet Stencil, apply Embossing Paste with a Palette Knife. Before the paste dries, sprinkle with Antique Gold Embossing Powder and Silver Embossing Powder and heat set.
Add die cut flowers to art journal page with Dimensional Foam Tape to finish.
Thank you for stopping by!

Tania, your journal pages are all so lovely. I am looking to start a journal which will also include some of my art.
Thank you for inspiring me today. God bless you
