Create Easy Colorful Watercolored Hearts with Altenew Watercolor Pencils

by Lilith Eeckels

Hello, Altenew fans. Today, I will be showing how you can create easy watercolored hearts on a scrapbook layout using Altenew Watercolor Pencils.

Watercolor Hearts

When I started creating this layout, I wanted to create something colorful, fun, and easy. I also wanted my crafting time to feel relaxing and watercoloring is my favorite technique to calm my nerves. I grabbed the Altenew Watercolor Pencils and some Altenew 9×12 Watercolor Paper, which I cut to an 8.5×11 size.

How to:

  1. Draw various hearts lightly with a pencil.
  2. Pick out your favorite colors from the Watercolor Pencil Set.
  3. Color the hearts, leaving some white space in the center of each one.
  4. Take a watercolor brush, dip into the water, and color the hearts.
  5. Add more color with the watercolor pencil to enhance the color if necessary.
  6. Take the Altenew Fine Liner Pen (0.2) and draw around the edges of the hearts.
  7. Add some doodled details or use some of the detailed stamps from the Magical Memories Stamp Set which I used to add my title.
  8. Pop on your photo and that is it. Super easy!

This technique is super easy and can be used for cards too.
