Hi, crafty friends!
Today, I am sharing a tutorial on how I made this pastel monsteras art journal page using Altenew's new Monsteras and Quotes Stamp and Stencil Set! I chose to create a one layer page with this set, but it comes with a coordinating die as well as a bundle!
Here are some details about this new stamp/die/stencil bundle!
This stamp set has 3 sizes of monstera images and 18 encouraging serif quotes. Stamp the monstera leaves around your panel to create a foliage frame and add one of the sentiments in the center for a quick, cute card. Experiment with other tropical-themed stamps in your collection for more creative possibilities.
Pastel Monsteras on an Art Journal Page
To start, decide on the placement of your sentiment from the Monsteras and Quotes stamp set and stamp using Obsidian Pigment Ink on your art journal page.
Use the larger solid leaf from the Monsteras and Quotes stencil and softly blend using Small Ink Blending Brushes and alternate between the following Crisp Dye Inks: Citrus Burst, Volcano Lake, and Pink Diamond.
Slightly offset and stamp the coordinating leaf stamp set with Misty Morning Crisp Dye Ink to create a graphic and almost textile-like effect. This also means you don't have to worry about lining up your images perfectly, it is all part of the look!
When you have finished your stamping and blending, add tiny details like dots using Fine Liner Pens, if desired.
