One Clean and Simple Memory Keeping Layout ( With Video Tutorial)

by Nathalie

Hello friends!

Nathalie here to bring you one clean and simple memory keeping layout featuring the new Arch of Flowers Stamp/Stencil/Die bundle. This new set from Altenew is just beautiful.  The curvy design of the stamp set along with the small and simple blooms make  for an interesting and whimsical project.   The design of the Arch of Flowers bundle lends itself to a simple design, but there is so much more you can do with the design.  Let me show you one fun idea for your next project

Can you recognize the Arch of Flowers design in this layout?   Like  I mentioned, the design is so versatile that you can easily use it in many ways.   Let's take a closer look at this clean and simple memory keeping layout:

Diagonal Borders

A simple way to make the most of the Arch of Flowers Stamp set is to  use it in the background of a layout by  creating a diagonal border.   I am using Obsidian Pigment Ink to stamp just the branches of the design ( the arch part is outside of the page).  The slight angle of the border adds a bit of movement to the page, plus it makes it easier to create a continuous design.  We are already on the way to creating a clean and simple memory keeping layout, by  just adding the borders on the page.

Simple coloring

I love stencils!! especially ones that minimize your work, and produce great results.  The new Arch of Flowers Simple Coloring Stencil Set makes adding color to the stamp borders a breeze.    I chose simple colors (check the Supply List for all the ink color used) to keep the page airy and light, another key description for a clean and simple memory keeping layout.

Adding Dimension

I wanted to add a bit of interest to the page by means of dimension.  Since the photos cover a bit of the background work, I am using the Arch of Flowers Stamp/Stencil/Die Bundle to create extra images, think of it as creating embellishments.   A bit of foam adhesive behind the die cut helps to create that soft shadow on the project, and brings all the details of the image to the top of the page.   Since I trimmed the die cuts when I added them to the page, I am using the leftover pieces to, in a way, bulk up the clusters.

You are welcome to watch the following process video to see how this clean and simple memory keeping layout came together.  You can watch it here or in Altenew YouTube Channel in HD:

I hope that you enjoyed the video, and saw how this clean and simple memory keeping layout comes together with the new Arch of Flowers Bundle.
