Welcome to my second episode for the Lovely Layers with Lilith series. Today we are going to have a closer look at layering stencils and more specifically the Meadow Burst Stencil from Altenew. Layering stencils are a great way of adding layers but in a simple way. The different shades of color that build up the image immediately add detail and dimension.
The Meadow Burst Stencil is one of my favorites (though I think I say this of all Altenew stencils). It is quite large and can easily be used on a scrapbook layout. Another advantage of this stencil is that it is super easy to layer. On each layer there are 3 markings to help you layer the different stencils. Just start at number one and end with number 5.
To highlight the photo and make it stand out I used some of the Altenew paper packaging which has lovely gold accents. I even used it to cut out my title. Just pop the tissu paper onto some cardstock to make it sturdier and then use your favorite word die (mine is LOVE from the Script Words Die Set).
SIMPLE LAYERING TIPS
There are products which are great for layering and that I use over and over. On this layout I used:
- cute labels from the Dot Labels Stamp and Die Set.
- butterflies from the Mix&Match Mariposa Die Set.
- Thin washi tape (Lapis Lazuli Thin Washi Set).
Curious to see how this layout came about? Well, watch the video below or hop over to YouTube to view it in HD.
Thanks for stopping by and see you next time for some more Lovely Layers with Lilith.
